Christmas

Dec. 24, 2012

As I was studying Christmas this first little bit I came across something interesting. In almost every single Liahona (church published magazine) that I found from December there were two prominent themes. 1 obviously the birth of Christ and 2 temple attendance and its importance. A quote by Elder Russell M. Nelson tied it all together for me!  He says,

"Considering all that the Savior has done—and still does—for us, what can we do for Him? The greatest gift we could give to the Lord at Christmas, or at any other time, is to keep ourselves unspotted from the world, worthy to attend His holy temple. And His gift to us will be the peace of knowing that we are prepared to meet Him, whenever that time comes."

So for me that is really special because for the first time and perhaps the last time in my mission I will be able to attend the temple the 7th of January! I am so grateful for that blessing and gift that I will be able to receive. It will be truly beautiful! That is what Christmas is all about. Giving gifts to Him and in turn receiving all He has to give us!

Talk to you tomorrow!!!!!!!!! It feels weird saying that!
